When MP goes on stage, the whole building trembles. With riveting english Rap direct from the gut, he has shaken the Munich underground for the past two years.

The musical productions of “Provo“ appeal not only to friends of Hip-Hop music. His combination of organic music samples, live-instruments and electronic elements give his sound an uncomparable originality.

 

"Unknown Consequences" - The Debut-LP

 

Since the release of their debut album “Unknown Consequences“ (09/2008), the two munich residents have aquired a high profile within and beyond the rap scene.

In 2009 they reached the finals of the Bandcontest “Sprungbrett“ at the Feierwerk in Bavaria.

The Bayerische Rundfunk(Bavarian Broadcasting Network) recognized MP & Provo for taking Hip-Hop beyond “braggart cliché phrases“, and named them “Bavarian Band of the week“. BR then elevated them to “extraordinary Hip-Hoppers“, with 6 TV episodes, following their climb through the ranks on “Startrampe“.

 

With the exposure won through their successful 3 month long television following, they have exceeded 30 LIVE concerts this year (including 4 international concerts).

 

To top it all off, Provo & MP have integrated the “The Otters“ into a Live-Set. The original music, composed on computer, has been re-interpreted, comes to life and drives it all home, with an amazing dialogue, an heightened exchange of energy with percussion, bass, guitar, and keyboard.

 

2010 will see the next album release from Manekin Peace & Provo Beatz.

Manekin Peace

Wenn MP auf die Bühne geht, wackelt das Gebäude. Mit extrem emotionalen, fesselnden Raps auf englisch begeistert der Halbamerikaner seit mehreren Jahren die Freestyle-Bühnen des Münchener Untergrunds.

 

Provo

Die Produktionen des jungen Nachwuchsproduzenten „Provo“ sprechen nicht nur die Freunde der Rapmusik an. So bastelt er seine Arrangements aus einer Kombination von organischen

Samples, Live-Instrumenten und elektronischen Elementen.

 

 

„Unknown Consequences“ ...

 

Seit ihrem Debut-Album „Unknown Consequences“ (09/2008), sind die zwei 24-jährigen

Münchener „Manekin Peace & Provo Beatz“ - inner-& außerhalb der Rapszene - sehr präsent.

 

2009 wählte sie die Jury beim Münchener Bandwttbewerb „Sprungbrett“bis ins Finale.

 

Dass HipHop auch mehr als angeberisches Phrasengedresche sein kann, erkannte auch der

Bayerische Rundfunk,der „MP & Provo“ im Februar zur „Bayerischen Band der Woche“ kürte, um die zwei Ausnahme-HipHoper im Anschluss sogar noch in für die erste Staffel der „Startrampe“ auszuwählen . Durch ihre ehrliche Musik und die 3-monatige Fernsehpräsenz, können sie nun - im Herbst 2009 - schon auf über 20 Konzerte in diesem Jahr zurückblicken.

 

Als i-Tüpfelchen studierte der Produzent Provo zusammen mit der Band „The Otters“ ein Live-Set für Manekin Peace ein. Die am Computer komponierten Instrumentals wurden auf Schlagzeug, Bass, Gitarre, Keyboard und Percussion übersetzt. Im Sommer 2009 folgten mehrere Auftritt u.a. am berühmt-berüchtigten Sonnenroth-Fstival.

 

Ein weiteres Album von Manekin Peace & Provo Beatz wird 2010 veröffentlicht werden.
